The Temple of Isis was created because our beloved founder Lady Loreon Vigné understood that the power of the Divine Mother Isis was truly needed in the world. She experienced that divine kindness & love firsthand, so she understood how it radically transforms lives.

As many of you know, the Temple of Isis here in the heart of Sonoma County has been dedicated to the Divine Feminine Isis since 1976, making us the oldest and largest interfaith Goddess temple in North America.

Lady Loreon knew that she had to build a sanctuary that leads with that divine kindness – allowing us to carry it into our schools, our workplaces, our communities – and a place that validates the emotions of people so that no one feels alone or broken. Because we are all the Divine Mother’s Children.

Everything we’ve created & supported since our founding has been built around those beliefs, supporting individuals as they create a kinder, braver world. 

Every day at the Temple of Isis, we focus on supporting kindness, love, and the hopeful, engaged individuals that are changing the world for the better!

We here at the Temple of Isis are asking you to shift culture with us, to help us look for and amplify kindness and love, and build the community that powers it. With your donation, the Temple of Isis can support this vision via our ongoing programs including:

• #WildlifeRefuge – at the Isis Oasis Sanctuary we host over a 100+ rescued exotic animals ( furry, scaled, feathered, crawling,swimming) for we all the Divine Mother’s children. We host our 40+ year old emus that have graced the cover of the NY Times & the LA Times. In addition to our collection of rescued beautiful birds and parrots that happily greet our sanctuary guests every day to our wonderful snakes, alpacas, cats and goats. Each month it costs us about $5,000.00 dollars a month in rescued animal sanctuary costs, so any little bit helps, especially in winter when our heating costs go through the roof.

• #Sanctuary – this divine principle has been at the heart of the Temple of Isis since the very beginning. It was the reason Lady Loreon Vigné established the Isis Oasis. She wanted a place for all the orphaned children of the Divine Mother (Be they furred, feathered, scaled or our human brethren) to be safe in its embrace. Drawing inspiration from the ancient temples of Isis, where they provided sanctuary to all – we do the very same thing now 47 years later! We have survived fires, flooding, and COVID lockdowns. We are asking for your help now to keep this going! 

• #Programming – this is our mission where we manifest a series of Goddess inspired events all year long that explore all the aspects of the Divine Mother, that keep all of us, Her children, connected and allow us to keep expanding the reach of Her Divine Love through the Temple of Isis.

• #CommunityPartnerships – these are events and retreats that we co-host yearly here at the Isis Oasis Sanctuary – Like our twice annual seasonal Harp Concert (next one is Dec.21st) that is celebrating its 30th year! We additionally host a series of events and concerts throughout the year in partnership with local artists, teachers and healers. 

• #ArtistsinResidence – our newly established Goddess Gallery, in memory of Lady Morning Glory & Lady Loreon (partly sponsored by Author Margaret Atwood) invites in artists, mystics and priestesses to come explore and develop their art in the Gallery dedicated to all the faces of the Divine Mother. During the last few years, we have hosted a series of different artists-in-residence from children books authors, singers, performance artists. • #SpiritualWork – while we supporting all the clergy of the Temple of Isis as they meet the spiritual needs of people across the United States and beyond… Some of our ongoing community efforts include emergency rent support grants, providing social services for people in need, clergy acting as social advocates for people experiencing medical emergencies, medical transportation with free overnight stays for those traveling to distant health appointments, providing advocacy services for the greater LGBTQI community and much more.

• #TempleWork – The Temple of Isis successful suited the DOD on behalf of alternative-faith military veterans many of whom were our Temple Community Members to display faith symbols on their tombstones at national cemeteries, which was ultimately decided in our favor by the Supreme Court of the United States. Our temple suited the DOD to the Supreme Court to create Department of Defense’s Designated Service Leaders for all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. We also are part of the Chaplaincy Program for the Los Angeles Police Department, among other official postings as alternative-faith based chaplains.
